Hope House relies on the generosity of our supporters to achieve its mission of providing safety and support for victims of domestic violence and their families. We assist nearly 10,000 domestic violence victims from around the Kansas City area each year. Your contribution can make an enormous difference in the life of a victim of abuse. Here are some examples of the essential services your donation can help provide:
$100 provides dinner for women and children living in one of our domestic violence shelters.
$150 provides three weeks of safe child care for a mother in shelter while she is receiving counseling and seeking to rebuild their lives.
$250 provides a safe bed, food, and other daily necessities for a day in one of our shelters for a mother and three children who have left a home of abuse with nothing.
$500 provides a week of healing therapy for a woman who has been a victim a domestic abuse.
$1,000 provides an attorney for a domestic violence victim who fled from her home with no money and cannot afford to pay legal fees.
We accept donations for general costs and for specific programs. If you are giving to a specific program, please be sure to note which program on your check or in a letter accompanying your gift.
